(Hover on each item for more information)

REPAIR OF THE CHURCH ROOF
Renovation of the Church Building
RENOVATION OF THE CHURCH
The current church building was built in 1970 under the mobilization of the Christians of Matale parish by its former pastor, Fr. Francis Xavier Muwong. It was well constructed but with the passage of time, it has greatly deteriorated owing to a leaking roof, also causing some damage to the interior.

CLASSROOMS
The construction of safe classrooms for the cathechetical formation of children
CLASSROOMS AND BATHROOMS FACILITIES
Approximately 600 children go to the parish each year for preparation for the sacraments. They come from the 16 centers (sub parishes) that make up Matale Parish. In addition, there are children attending from other schools and health centers who also require pastoral attention. The construction of the classrooms will serve to fulfill this need. The children are currently receiving their instruction in an unsafe makeshift structure without clean running water or sanitary toilet conditions.

FARMING PROJECT
Water pump and Animal Husbandry
FARMING PROJECT
A farming project has already been initiated which will directly improve the lives of the people of Matale. The parish has recently received donations which were earmarked for purchasing livestock, installing water tanks and building pens and stys. The farmers will be instructed in animal husbandry.
The project is run by youth in the parish with supervision by the parish council and Fr. Augustine.
We hope to encourage some to obtain micro-loans for small farming business through Unbound and Kiva.
